The Ranting Chef does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufactures or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.
I received a brand new product the other day to take a look at. It is the Cool Grip Caddy.
The Cool Grip Caddy is a sturdy plastic disc with raised handles that is designed to help you carry hot plates and bowls from the microwave to the counter or table without burning yourself or spilling the contents.
In the center of the Cool Grip Caddy is a built-in ring that helps to hold bowls in place. Above you see the bowls I use on my table. The ring keeps the bowl from sliding or moving at all and if I were to overfill my bowl, it would serve as a “food moat” keeping spillage from hitting your hands or the floor.
Smaller plates sit into the ring as well.
Here I have a larger bowl that I would typically eat pasta and soup from. Again, it easily fits and once in does not move around.
Here is one of my Fiestaware plates that you see in all of my food pics. It fits perfectly.
Time to try it out. For a recipe I needed to steam some asparagus in a bit of water in a glass pie plate. I put the pie plate onto the Cool Grip Caddy and put it into the microwave. Once done, no gloves or towels needed to move the Cool Grip Caddy to the counter. The handles were as cool as when it went into the microwave while the glass plate was way too hot to handle.
My Take: The Cool Grip Caddy is a great and inexpensive addition to your kitchen. Goodbye burned fingers and spilled soup. While great for me, it is perfect for families with children who have begun to use the microwave on their own. You can find the Cool Grip Caddy at major retailers or online. Find out where to get it here.

Love! I am an absolute klutz in the Kitchen. Moreover , my kitchen is small so when people are over this would be especially handy for quick lichen to dining room transfer. Looking it up now! Thanks
