The most recent post on spiders, and the cupcake picture, has given me thought of how we play with our food, or at least how playful we make them look. Bouncing around in my head must have a combination of my more recent posts and a food picture has developed in my mind. I’ve performed a quick Google search and have not found evidence of this, so I’d like to issue a challenge to readers to make this and send me your pictures.
Egg Roll Cooties
Remember the game Cootie? It was that game of putting together that plastic bug with many legs, eyes, antennae and that really weird tongue sticking out.
How about an egg roll Cootie?
All ingredients would have to fit in with a Chinese theme. I’m thinking the body would be your standard egg roll.
The legs? Chinese Chow Mein noodles. I imagine you’d have to punch a hole int he egg roll first.
The eyes? Sliced green onion. Have to find a way to make them stick.
Antennae? How about bean sprouts?
Tongue? A single salad shrimp.
Sounds like it might work ad fun party food. Put together your creation with these ingredients or different ones and send me a pic.
