Product Review: One Touch Press & Click 26 Piece Storage Container Set

The Ranting Chef does not get paid or receive any revenue from manufacturers or retailers of products reviewed. I occasionally receive products that I am asked to use and see what I think. I take a look, try them out and tell you all about them.

A big box arrived a few weeks ago.

Inside was the One Touch Press & Click 26 Piece Storage Container Set from Stor-All Solutions.

This new set contains 13 containers with corresponding lids.

The set includes: Five 1-cup square containers, four 2.3-cup square containers, two 3.6-cup square containers and two 4.9-cup square containers, all with lids.

The containers and lids stack very neatly. If you need to have them occupy an even smaller space, put the lids on the bottom and the containers nest to an even smaller stack.

The containers and lids are BPA-free so you don’t have to worry about chemicals leaching into your food. The lids fit tight (more on that later) and are easy to snap into place.

Here is the key to the lid. On two of the sides (opposite of each other) you will find the release buttons.

Simple press both of them and the lid easily comes off. Don’t press them and the lid stays tight.

Looking at the underside of the button, you can see how the mechanism works.

The one-touch really does work. Unlike many storage containers, you simply need to press down (without much pressure at all) to engage the lid lock. Unlike my other containers that I need to press along every edge to ensure things are sealed, or manually engage several buckles, this is really easy.

The lids are crystal clear so you can easily see your contents.

I’ve got my lunch ready for tomorrow.

One of the toughest tests is ensuring liquid contents don’t leak. I filled this container full of soup, applied the lid and sloshed it around. No leaks. Turned it upside down. No leaks. On its side? You got it, no leaks.

These containers, and lids, are dishwasher safe.

Pasta left-overs from last night? Sure.

These containers are both freezer and microwave safe.

One of the biggest fails I’ve seen with non-glass containers is the tendency for red sauces (like pasta sauce) to stain the container. This sauce was in the container for two days in the fridge and then microwaved with the sauce inside, and then sat in my lunchbox (and then the dishwasher) for two more days before being washed.

No red sauce stain. Looking great!

My Take: The One Touch Press & Click 26 Piece Storage Container Set from Stor-All Solutions is a great set and will allow me to dump a motley collection of other food storage containers I have collected over the years. I really like that they can go from the freezer to the microwave to the dishwasher and work great every time. If, like me, you are in need of a new set, check it out. It will soon be available at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
