When I was at the International Home and Housewares show this past March, I spent some time talking with the folks at Clauss. Manufacturers of high quality scissors and shears, they were showing off some of their kitchen line.
One of those products was the Clauss 8.5″ Titanium Detachable Chef Shears.
A good pair of kitchen shears is an important piece of equipment. Besides opening an occasional bag of produce or pasta, it has many other uses.
This pair comes with a built-in can opener.
The micro serrated titanium blades grip and cut your food.
The silicone grips are easy to hold and the pair also comes with a built-in bottle opener.
The blades detach for easy cleaning.
They are comfortable in and hand. Let’s put them to work.
Cutting chives?
Easy work.
Have some parsley or cilantro to chop? It is much easier to just snip them into pieces.
They handle much bigger jobs like cutting through the breast bone of this chicken.
The toughness and sharpness of these shears make this chore easy.
All done!
My Take: Having several pairs of kitchen shears that have come with knife sets, I have often found them to be lacking. This pair meets all of my criteria. They are strong. They are sharp. They come apart to clean. What’s not to love? Take a look at the Clauss 8.5″ Titanium Detachable Chef Shears here.
This looks wonderful, and 23.00 is well spent. I added tax by estimating. I believe these shears would be helpful in the kitchen, and since they come apart, they are easy to clean. They are huge, and that is good, also.
