I was a binge watcher before it became popular. No, really. In fact the term hadn’t either been coined or certainly wasn’t out there in the mainstream press.
While I’ve and cable for many, many years, I never have paid for the premium channels. I also only own DVDs of three television series (M*A*S*H – the complete series, Friends season 1 and West Wing Season 1). Lastly, I was the first person I knew to get a DVR (the original TiVO). This was well before the dish and cable companies thought to provide one.
I started my binge watching by checking out series from the library (and only later from Netflix). In many cases I would watch an episode in the bedroom before I turned out the light for the night. Some of the series that I did this were:
- The Sopranos
- Six Feet Under
- Oz
- Dexter
It got to the point that when I was looking for another series, the Ranting Wife asked if there was going to be more murder in the bedroom!
Best Italian Chicken
I’d kill for more of this chicken!
This is a very simple recipe, but it has lots of flavor.
Tomatoes are ready.
So is the rest of the sauce.
The chicken is in the slow cooker.
Topped with the sauce.
All done.
Delectable.
