It Looks Like…

We see what we want to see. The brain is not only amazing in making patterns where there is none, we are so wired to recognize faces we will often see them where they are not.

The most common reference of these usually fall to highly revered, dead people. Think Jesus, Mary or even Elvis. In any of the cases you could claim a religious bias and impact.

Often that recognition involves food. In a 1985 episode of Cheers, Cliff Claven is convinced that he has a potato that looks like Richard Nixon. Off the small screen there are many who have identified food that looks like a famous person.

  • Huffington Post – While not all of these pictures are of food, I liked the Easter Bunny chip the best
  • Anchors Chip of the Month – The Marilyn Monroe dress blowing up (from Some Like it Hot) is amazing.
  • The FW – I like the video game face.
  • Buzz Feed – This is the all Jesus food montage.
  • Yahoo – This is an article about how a chicken McNugget that looked like George Washington sold for over $8000 on ebay.
