Over several posts, you have gotten to know a little about my dog Cody. He is a good dog that is friendly to people and has a well defined sense of the pecking order at home. He is not always right about that order, but he thinks he is. When he was younger, he used to push for his place in the ranking but generally that has gone by the wayside. There is still one scenario where it comes front and center.
Whenever my wife and are standing and we embrace, or put an arm around each other, the dog springs to action. While he won’t run (his hips keep him from running at all these days), he does purposefully move over to us. He then moves so he is standing between us, often times squeezing between our legs. He doesn’t look up but he wags his tail. I can’t tell if he is trying nicely to break up the embrace or he just wants to be part of it.
I know if I fed him one of these chops he would definitely be wagging that tail.
As I purchase Stove Top by the shipping container, you’ll see the nondescript bag of it in the picture.
Melting the butter.
Mixing the peaches and the stuffing.
Ready to go to the oven.
I would never have guessed how well all these flavors would come together. It is fabulous!

My dog comes running whenever there is any hugging or affection going on in my house, and I always figured it was just a desire to be a part of the general love, ;). She has this look on her face like “Is it time for snuggling? I love snuggling! Here I am! Snuggle me too!” That, or I have a bigger problem with anthropomorphizing my dog than I thought, lol.
