Inside was a set of their stylish Moso plates and bowls.

The Moso line is made of 75% bamboo fibers and wheat starch which makes it 100% biodegradable.

The plates and bowls have a unique shape that adds quite a bit of style to my tabletop. The line comes in a variety of colors. Being an Ohio State graduate, I chose the red color. They initially look like they are made of heavy-duty plastic.

The plates and bowls are sturdy, so while they are eventually biodegradable, they are built to last.

The plates are big enough to hold a large strip steak and three stuffed mushrooms with quite a bit of space left.

The cups are the right size for some soup or a side salad.

My Take: The Zak Designs Moso line is a collection of well-made, sturdy dishes that look good and hold up well to heavy use (no scratches from my steak knife). As an added benefit, they are good for the environment by both being made from sustainable components and are biodegradable. Note, the dishes are not dishwasher or microwave recommended. Take a look at the Moso line from Zak Designs as well as their many other products.
